Edmund read for a BA in English Language & Literature at The University of Leeds. He began his legal training at Oxford Brookes, where he was awarded a distinction in his GDL before completing the LPC at the University of Law.
Prior to his legal studies, Ed worked as a Production Assistant on the BBC’s Restless (2012) progressing on to Hollywood productions including Fury (2014) and Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation (2015).
During this time, Ed was also writing and rehearsing as a drummer. He toured extensively, frequenting venues across Europe including Heaven (London) and Paradiso (Amsterdam).
This sparked an interest in the music business specifically: contract law; IP; and copyright. Ed explored this area for his Legal Research Project considering the uneasy tension in UK copyright law between authorship, originality, and ownership.
In his spare time, Ed keeps busy playing sports, going to the movies, and digging for vinyl.
