John is recognised as a leading practitioner in theatre law. He represents many of the leading British creators of musical theatre such as Sir Tim Rice, Don Black, the late Lionel Bart, George Stiles, Anthony Drewe, Toby Harlow and Lucy Moss, as well as directors, designers, orchestrators and producers. He continues to represent a number of recording artists and television personalities. 

John also handles corporate matters in the entertainment business. 

He is a Trustee of The Lionel Bart Foundation and The Whicker’s World Foundation.   

John read law at University College London.

John qualified as a solicitor in 1970.
