Tim has over 30 years’ experience of a diverse range of litigation and dispute resolution matters, having previously been a partner at Clintons for 26 years. His clientele includes artists, executives, property developers, retailers, restaurateurs. entrepreneurs, nightclub owners and musicians.

His breadth of experience extends to the resolution of disputes relating to trusts, partnerships, companies, property, professional negligence, family disputes and education.  Tim is particularly known for dealing with “difficult” cases whether it is his opponent or the issues that arise that are complex.  He enjoys loyalty from his clients, many of whom he has represented for the entirety of his professional career. Tim formerly headed Clintons, now thriving, Family Department and its contentious Employment Department. He is a qualified family mediator and a member of the Law Society's Dispute Resolution Section.

Tim successfully resisted a client's committal to prison for contempt in circumstances where his client had broken the terms of a Court Order (SectorguardPlc v Dienne Plc). He successfully applied to stay a defamation claim against his client on the basis that the Claimant had suffered no loss and applied to the Court to commit his opposing solicitor to prison for attempting to pervert the course of justice, the solicitor having threatened Tim’s client during the course of legal proceedings.

Tim completed his master’s in intellectual property law at the London School of Economics.

Tim qualified as a solicitor in 1982.
