Charlie Anderson is a legal advisor working within our music and litigation departments. Holding a first in molecular biology and a Thomas More scholarship from Lincoln's Inn during his law conversion, Charlie was originally called to the bar in 2003 and completed his pupillage at 11 South Square, a top-tier IP chambers. Already involved in the media and entertainment world as a DJ, producer and events promoter, he then joined Clintons in order to work directly with clients on IP and contract-related litigation with a music industry slant.  Charlie has previously acted for clients in high profile cases including the successful Court of Appeal action in Seal -v- Wadlow. Charlie's current practice extends to the provision of legal advice and assistance in connection with the application of the law or with any form of resolution of legal disputes (but not the conduct of litigation itself)  and covers aspects of IP, including copyright, trade marks and passing off, as well as contractual matters within music, events and new media, including complex digital licensing and branding issues.  Charlie is a fluent French speaker. He is a lifelong surfer and spends a part of each year based in Indonesia or California.
